In putting an audio file into a flash file for the specific purpose of promoting the audio file, I find that (for now) I must choose relatively short pieces. This is because when confronted with a blank (or not too entertaining) background with some track playing...you don't really know where it's going.
I guess my first few submissions here will be the shorter more attention span friendly pieces until I can figure out how to code a music player interface.
In the meantime, do enjoy this piece entitled "Bright" as it was made by pitch shifting a piano upwards quite a bit in the program FL Studio 7 (www.flstudio.com)
thats amazing to me you can code music into, of all places, and art site like this. maybe im just electronically backward but i still call it magic. you wizard of 1's and 0's.
I'm only surprised no one has ever done it before. Or if they have they're pretty difficult to find on DA. Perhaps this will start motions towards DA accepting the need for an actual music system ;]
yeh, i think there is a fine line to be drawn though, people will really abuse the system and upload alot of bullshit music. i like the idea of having more progressive trippy style sounds included for "art" but you guys [musicians] have alot of other engines to allow for exposure in music.
DA has some sort of system for film producers where they only allow a certain degree of quality. I spose they could do the same for musicians and audio producers, to weed out th bullshit producers ;]
awesome dude ur stuffs good and as jonathanjames you got some mad coding skills

i really like your style [i can't pinpoint it, like whether it's progressive, alternative, etc.] rare, someone at your age is creating music that I can dig. you're definitely off to a good start with these few pieces! i guess the only critique would have to be around 1minute 15, i don't really get the purpose of the extra drum hits...but that would be getting nit picky overall, nice sound i'll be sure to check in and give you any feedback *i'm serious about my music

A collection of the most beautiful and amazing square photographs I found among my favourites. Please have a look and give these artists the attention they deserve!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
